This Grade 1 listed building is dedicated to the Celtic saint Tathan who founded a church on this site in the 6th century. The present building is of a cruciform plan in the decorated style of architecture of the 14th century with a central tower containing six bells.  It has many interesting features including Crusader Tombs, a carving by Iolo Morgannwg, the devisor of the Gorsedd ceremony of the National Eisteddfod of Wales. Also there is a memorial to John Williams a famous Welsh Hymn writer
